Description: This poster designed by Harry Rogers was one of a series commissioned by Qantas as part of a successful advertising campaign promoting overseas destinations to travellers. Rogers enjoyed a long and productive association with Qantas as a freelance designer. He devised many different and unusual techniques for each different poster series; starting in the 50s through to the 70s, incorporating a variety of styles such as geometrics, watercolours, collage work, and oils. Rogers' designs were innovative, utilising the latest in printing, typesetting and photo technology. The posters produced for Qantas made use of bold, readily identifiable images and vivid colours that were typical of the period. Printed in Australia based on based on Sydney Opera House, written in bottom.
