Artist: Geo Dorival - Justin Marie Georges Dorival (Paris, 5 November 1879 - Louveciennes, 22 March 1968) was a French poster artist. He also made glass plates for shadow puppet theatres, such as the 1910 premiere of Aucassin et Nicolette (Le Flem opera).

Description: Beautiful colors and image of the Dieppe coastline showing the Casino on the beach in the distance. This casino was fought over during WWII in the ill fated Canadian raid "Operation Jubilee" on August 19th of 1942. In the months after the raid the Germans were to demolish the casino to improve their fields of fire. The view and vantage point shown in the poster was to prove disasterous to the Canadians, as the Germans controlled the cliffs. Who knew in 1910 the future that lay in store for this picturesque and peaceful coastline.
