Description: The poster for the 1930 film The Blue Angel (Der Blaue Engel in German), directed by Josef von Sternberg, and starring Emil Jannings, Marlene Dietrich, and Kurt Gerron. Filmed simultaneously in English and German, and based on Heinrich Mann's 1903 novel Professor Unrat. Marlene Dietrich's performance in The Blue Angel brought her international fame and provided her with a contract with Paramount Pictures in the US.
