Description: Excellent condition and scarce Canadian First War Recruiting poster. This poster answers questions that the potential recruits may have had at the time, including a pay of $1 per day! A line at the bottom makes reference to Lord Kitchener, who was raising new armies at the time in Great Britain. Crossed Union Jack and original style Canadian flag at the top. These posters were designed to be posted, then torn down. The fact that this example survived in almost mint condition for over 100 years is amazing. Central Recruiting Committee, No. 2 Military District, Toronto printed on bottom.
