Description: Large sized original bullfighting poster for Arenes de Beziers. The arena was built in 1897 under lavish Spanish architectural influence for a single purpose – bullfights. Some legendary bullfights have gone down here, and they continue to this day! In addition, concerts, tennis tournaments, the international wrestling gala and even ice-skating is hosted here. It can seat about 13000 people. Printed on heavy paper and newly linenbacked. Old fold lines visible and some age staining along old lines. Great colors painted in an expressionist style with heavy brushstrokes evoking a sense of movement. Great designer piece for a large area. These older large bullfighting posters from France are scarce.
