was a French painter, draftsman, illustrator, engraver, and photographer. Hallo was born in Lille and died in Senlis. He grew up in Dijon where he studied at the School of Fine Arts. He finished his studies at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris . He is best known as the creator of many travel posters for private railway companies as well as other advertising material. His characteristic signature is ALO.
