Description: In 1926, Lucien Lévy, director of Radio-L.L., a company that built radio receivers and to whom he gave his initials, constructed a 1 kW transmitter. The first tests took place in March 1926 and marked the launch of Radio-L.L. in Paris. On October 10th of the same year, he and his cousin Georges Lévy founded the National Broadcasting Company in order to separate his industrial activities from that of a broadcaster. In its beginnings, the programming was mainly composed of music played from records borrowed from Pathé. Radio-L.L. became the first French radio station to work a full day without interruption.
