Artist: Cândido Aragonez de Faria (artist's name Faria, 12 August 1849 in Brasil – 17 December 1911 in Paris) was a Brazilian caricaturist, painter, lithographer and poster designer who emigrated to France in 1882. Faria designed posters for performers in café-chantants and the cinema but also for music scores. The collective art work of his workshop, which continued after his death, was signed Atelier Faria.
Description: Original poster advertising a cabaret "Les Cents Vierges" (The Hundred Virgins). The music was produced by Charles Lecocq (1832 - 1918) and was first recorded in 1872. The play was presented in three acts signed in the lithographic plate by Faria.
